A short VFX integration film created at École MOPA, La Procession des Esprits is a poetic glimpse into a surreal night where small masked spirits drift through a quiet urban alleyway. Blending live-action footage with stylised 3D characters, the integration study explores the boundary between the visible and invisible, the real and the magical.
Crafted as a 4-week collaboration with Marine Dieval, Baptiste Tassin, and Diego Maggiore, the piece merges practical lighting with digital mysticism; mask spirits glowing softly as they float past worn walls and lantern-lit corners.
The visual style leans into the ceremonial and the mysterious, pairing organic character design with precise compositing to root these imagined entities into a believable world.

The film was rendered in Maya using Arnold, with textures created in Substance Painter and character sculpts developed in ZBrush. Live-action footage was composited with 3D elements to achieve seamless integration.
